The outer diameter of the camera is 2 inches (5.08cm) so that it fits directly in 2 inch focusers. It has a 2 inch inner thread to add a filter, and an M42 inner thread for adapters.
The camera receives power from and provides data to the computer via a USB-C connector. For the GPS antenna, the camera contains an SMA connector. It can provide a small amount of current for active antennas. The GPIO connector is currently not used.
While you can use the camera with any software and any computer that supports the USB UVC standard, we highly recommend to use the camera with the DVTI Cam Control software. This software integrates with Occult Watcher, with your telescope and with plate solving software such as ansvr and ASTAP.
It provides on-the-fly image processing such as dark subtraction and fixed pattern noise reduction and it can generate the report form for SODIS, filling almost all fields automatically and thus reducing the work and avoiding mistakes.
